Professional Background
Mark is the Founder and CEO of Acuity Dynamics LLC based in
Colorado Springs, Colorado. For the past 15 years, Mark has
specialized in improving business competitiveness using Business
Process Optimization (BPO), Corporate Performance Management (CPM),
and Change Management (CM) techniques to assist client companies in
improving enterprise-wide business processes in order to
significantly improve customer satisfaction, throughput,
productivity and quality with emphasis in product development and
order-to-cash business processes. Prior to that, he spent 14 years
in various senior management positions with leading aerospace and
high tech companies in most business process improvement projects
from product development, production, and delivery where his
responsibilities included senior operations and program management
positions, production start-ups, business process optimization,
enterprise system enablers, performance measurement, and project
management.
Representative Experience
As the Director Industry Solutions for C-bridge Internet Solutions
and Excelon, Mark developed vertical go-to-market plans, sales
delivery kits, problem specific diagnostics and delivery
“iSolutions” in addition to providing Product Development and
Order-to-Cash subject matter expertise to Fortune 500 client
engagements to include managing an Inventory Spares Planning
engagement for a leading Telecommunication Capital Equipment
manufacturer that resulted in lowering global inventories by $6
million while maintaining eight hour customer service level
agreements
As the eBusiness Practice Director for Compaq Global Services, Mark
established their Western Regional eBusiness practice. These
responsibilities included creating go-to-market strategies,
strategic partner alliances, product/service offerings, and
developing diagnostics and delivery capability for Fortune 500
companies. Mark also assisted in establishing an end-to-end
eBusiness demonstration to showcase all Compaq’s products from
wireless PDA’s to high-end business servers incorporating 43
eBusiness vendor applications.
As a Principal with Arthur Andersen Business Consulting, he
assisted in establishing their Western Regional Value Chain
practice while providing Order-to-Cash operations expertise to
several client engagements. He conducted production planning,
scheduling and shop floor execution business process and systems
gap analyses for various clients. As Corporate Manager –Business
Process Management with Applied Materials, he assisted in reducing
their product configuration process time from three weeks to one
hour by developing a closed loop product configuration/quotation
process to ensure timely and accurate orders to involve marketing,
sales, engineering, finance, materials, production, and
installation considerations in addition to “connect the dots” of
numerous business process reengineering initiatives. As Director -
Operations, he established a new flagship production facility and
created a model participative management culture for a Fortune 50
corporation that reduced both production costs by 70% and cycle
time by 55% while increasing production capacity by 75%..
